Angelic Foe is thrilled to announce the release of their fifth full-length album, Amulets and Charms, through WormHoleDeath Records. This collaboration provides a fantastic opportunity for the Sweden-based neoclassical and darkwave act to connect with new audiences and platforms, showcasing their unique genre fusion.
Founded by Annmari Thim Hermansson, Angelic Foe is a creative project where she takes on roles as lyricist, vocalist, concept artist, and composer. Annmarie is also renowned for her work with Arcana since 2001 and various guest performances, while Fredrik is recognized for his contributions to Pain of Salvation and his career as a classical composer.
The project began in 2006, drawing inspiration from Jewish mysticism and demonology. Their debut album, Oppressed by the Heavens (2012), featured compositions by Annmari and guitarist Cristian Ellingsen, alongside percussions by Mattias Borgh and production by John Tyrell.
In 2015, Angelic Foe released Mother of Abominations, co-written by Annmari and Samuel Lidström, with mixing and mastering by Peter Bjärgö. The third album, An Evil of Nature (2019), was composed and produced by Annmari and Fredrik Hermansson, mixed by Daniel Bergstrand, and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory.
Their fourth album, Circles and Spheres (2021), featured nine tracks crafted by Annmari and Fredrik, with Magnus Devo Andersson handling mixing and mastering.
