Redikin Releases Lyric Video for “You,” a Hard-Hitting Groove Rock Anthem
Dutch groove rock outfit Redikin has unveiled a new lyric video for “You,” a fierce and unapologetic track taken from their debut album The Crux, which is available now via Wormholedeath Records. The single continues to showcase the band’s blend of punchy guitar work, bold lyrics, and infectious energy.
A Confrontational Anthem with a Message
From its opening line, “You don’t listen to lyrics, do you?”, the track sets the tone for what’s to come. “You” is a direct challenge to manipulation and emotional power plays. With tight, groove-driven instrumentation and a sharp vocal performance from frontwoman Afke van Althuis, the track holds nothing back.
Afke describes the song as “a release of frustration and a reclaiming of power.” She adds, “This came from a place of being fed up with silence and subtle control. It’s about saying what needs to be said, out loud.”

Featured on the Album The Crux
“You” appears on The Crux, Redikin’s full-length debut released earlier this year. The album captures the band’s signature mix of groove-heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and lyrics that don’t shy away from raw emotional territory. Since its release, The Crux has earned attention for its balance of grit and polish.
Critical Response
Dutch music blog Arrow Lords of Metal called Redikin “a band that knows exactly what it wants to say and how to say it,” and highlighted “You” as one of the album’s standout tracks. Reviewers praised Afke’s dynamic vocal range and the band’s ability to marry heaviness with accessibility.
