“We wanted ‘Noises’ to be a place where the misfits feel at home—a mirror to life’s struggles and joys,” says vocalist and guitarist Lasse Girs.
Flush draws inspiration from punk legends and the profound musings of thinkers like Charles Bukowski, weaving intricate narratives that explore societal issues, personal turmoil, and moments of whimsy. From themes of domestic violence and loss to tales of seaside adventures and space satellites, Noises offers a kaleidoscopic view of life’s complexity.
Crafting the Sound of “Noises”
The album was recorded in June 2024 at Wolfthrone Studios with the skilled hands of sound engineer Owe Inborr. Visual designer Pedro Bergamo has collaborated closely with the band, creating striking visuals, music videos, and promotional materials. The album cover was crafted by AD Tuomo Heiti, capturing the eclectic spirit of Noises. Distributed globally by Wormholedeath Records and backed by Ginger Vine Management & PR (Finland) and Rogue PR (UK), the album is poised for international success.
“Headspinner” Sets the Stage
Leading the album’s release is the grungy, punk-infused single “Headspinner.” At its core, the track is a blues-inspired journey through a disorienting morning where nothing feels quite right. With pop culture references and unexpected sonic twists, the song is a masterclass in Flush’s ability to keep listeners on their toes.
The music video for “Headspinner,” directed by Pedro Bergamo, is a visual marvel. Shot in a single take, it unfolds entirely in reverse, perfectly capturing the track’s surreal, disjointed narrative.
“‘Headspinner’ is about those days when time itself feels broken, and everything seems out of sync,” shares Girs. “We wanted the video to reflect that sense of displacement.”
